What is Child Care Subsidy?
Child Care Subsidy is financial assistance to help get the cost of child care.
To get Child Care Subsidy (CCS) you must:

  • care for a child 13 or younger who’s not attending secondary school, unless an exemption applies

  • use an approved child care service

  • be responsible for paying the child care fees

  • meet residence and immunisation requirements.

It is recommended that families apply for the Child Care Subsidy with Centrelink at least 12 weeks prior to starting care. Usually it takes up to 6 weeks for centrelink to approve CCS applications without any delays.

Centrelink can delay approval if families have

  • Outstanding Tax returns from either parent

  • not kept the child's immunizations up to date

When is the centre close?

We are closed all public holidays, on extreme and catastrophic fire danger days in line with our service approval and for 2.5 weeks over christmas to ensure an adequate break and rest period for children, families and educators. Families are charged for any involuntary closure days e.g Public Holidays.
